The 500 kV Western Hanoi substation is built in Yen Noi village, Dong Quang commune, Quoc Oai district, Hanoi. The substation aims to meet the load growth demand of the Northern power system and to ensure the power supply for Hanoi.
In May 2020, the substation was added an F87L relay. EITS.,JSC has configured and tested the relay as well as the SCADA/CSCS system. The coordination with substation operators was also carried out for all the necessary procedures.
