On the afternoon of September 29th, 2020, at Quan The village, Phuoc Minh commune, Thuan Nam district, Ninh Thuan province, EITS., JSC collaborated with Trungnam Group to energize the 220/500kV Substation and Transmission line under the “Trung Nam Thuan Nam 500kV Solar Power Plant” project.
The substation has two 500kV transformers with a total capacity of 1800 MVA, capable of supplying electricity to two provinces and cities. Meanwhile, the transmission line is longer than 17km stretching from Phuoc Minh commune, Thuan Nam district, Ninh Thuan province to Vinh Tan commune, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province.
In this project, EITS., JSC configured the SCADA system, station computer control system, and FR/PQ/PMU system with IEC 61850 protocol. We completed the Gateway configuration and participated in Point-to-Point and End-to-End commissioning for SCADA systems via IEC 60870-5-104 protocol. The HMI/SCADA software we used was SICAM PAS by Siemens.
The “Trung Nam Thuan Nam 500kV Solar Power Plant” project not only exploits electricity from renewable energy sources but also makes an important contribution to the release of the power grid for Ninh Thuan and South Central Coast. The project is an urgent and strategic project serving the development of the power transmission system of Ninh Thuan province in particular, the Central Coast region in general, and the entire national power transmission infrastructure.
