Binh Thuan province is one of the places with the highest solar and wind energy potential in Vietnam. In recent years, the exploitation of renewable resources in Vietnam has been attracting many domestic and foreign investors.
The Dai Phong Wind Power Plant Project is invested by Dai Phong Development & Investment JSC under Decision No.1429/QD-UBND that is approved by the Binh Thuan provincial people’s committee in June 8, 2018.
In Decision No.4715/QD-BCT of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Dai Phong power plant is planned at position 14 (Thien Nghiep Wind Power plant Project) and is built in Thien Nghiep Commune, Mui Ne Ward, Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Province. The connecting plan for the power plant is to build a new 110kV Thien Nghiep 1x45MVA booster substation and then connect it to 110kV Mui Ne substation.
On June 21, 2020, EVNSPC SCADA Operation Center coordinated with Dai Phong Development & Investment JSC, and Investment & Energy Technology Service JSC (EITS JSC) for End-to-End testing of warning, measurement, status, and control signals from bay 131 and T1 transformer of the Dai Phong Wind Power Plant to SCADA system of the Southern Power Corporation.
The Dai Phong Wind Power Plant is built to supply power, meet increasing load demand in the South Central region. It also contributes to increase green energy sources, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and ensure power supply for the socio-economic development.
