The 220kV Son La substation was built and operated in August 2011 with the main task of releasing capacity for small hydroelectric plants in the Son La province to the national grid. After energizing, the station quickly brought into play its role, providing additional capacity for the national grid, contributing to the socio-economic development of Son La province.
The substation is located in Muong Bon commune, Mai Son district, Son La province. Over the years of operation and many upgrades, the 220kV Son La substation has always been in excellent operation, completed its tasks, meeting the regional needs.
In the period from October to December 2020, overcoming the difficulties of the local weather, ITS., JSC has cooperated with related units to supply, install devices and equipment, configure CSCS / SCADA software to upgrade the entire old SCADA system with a modern PACiS EcoSUI system.
